That error is not really something that could ever cause the system to
freeze, as it simply means that we cannot find a dkms module (and
therefore gpu-manager can't get information about it). It should be more
of a debugging message than an actual error.

Just expanding a little bit more my last comment, on Ubuntu 17.04, using
the 'sudo openconnect xxx' command is adding to the file
/run/resolvconf/resolv.conf file the DNS IP addresses as global ones.

This has now happened to me twice:
When deleting files/folders by highlighting and pressing shift-delete,
files in a different tab are deleted instead. In one case, instead of
deleting 20 highlighted files in active tab, 20 000 files in another tab
were deleted.

On my Ubuntu 17.04 (also happened on 16.10, upgraded to 17.10 that same
machine) the bug it's happening to me. My current workaround is to use
an equivalent 'openconnect'.
