First time I've actually created my own message here, just wanted to preface
it by saying thanks so much to all the users who make the IxDA list as
awesome as it is (which is very awesome).
Anyway, I graduated from the School of Communication, Information and
Library Studies (SCILS) at Rutgers
to this hack as well. I think
the only way you can absolutely verify that there's a non-nefarious
human on the other end is via biometrics, and I'm guessing that that
won't be a feasible option.

I view design deliverables in the same way as I view whatever it is that
I'm designing: I'm building something for *someone*, so in order to get
it right, I must consult with them and understand their needs. It's
more important to me that I deliver something that conveys functionality

Good stuff. A quick thought: rather than scroll the page to the bottom when
replying to a comment, can you instead put the 'create comment' interface in
a floaty panel just below the comment you are responding to? (Inline below
might be confusing).
As for jQuery resources, I am really digging
design you have created that demonstrates the above requirements. Any
additional artistic or creative work outside of the scope of UI design, even

I think it's important to avoid programmer-ese (listeners, events, et

I grab some time with the stakeholder at the beginning to get a sense
of the context of the goal. Who the users might be, what they need
to accomplish, what they don%u2019t need to do, etc. are the main
points to get down. They may not have all the answers but it%u2019s
a start.
