Great. Works on my end when synched. However, does anyone else notice
that now on the now playing screen, the time elapsed is not moving
(stays at zero). This is true even when not

Russound and Zon are a couple that come to mind. Usually this is a
custom install job, so it's more important to find a good outfit who
will do the work, and then use the brand(s) that they use. It's a
completely different paradigm, relying on a central multi-source amp and
lots of home-run
Hi all, thanks for your replies.

I can find a way to just dock that to the task bar somehow)
I've also already bought iPeng, which actually seems to be

Hi, and welcome to the forum. I'm wondering how you can have music
everywhere, yet not have it in your music room ;-).
As others have pointed out, you can sync

That 'horrendous interface' is because it was designed to

Since it sounds like syncing is your top priority, any solution which
involves solely hardware players should work fine. In my house I've had no
problems syncing a receiver, radio, boom, and classic together (all
connecting wirelessly on a 802.11g network).
For any situation where there's not a
I agree with the BOOM in the hallway and Kitchen. Note that there is an
input jack in the BOOM that would allow you to play an IPOD through it.
Although there would be no need for that related to your IPOD (as I
assume all the music on your IPOD would also be on your SqueezeboxServer

Have you ever looked into real whole-house audio solutions? They've
been around for decades and if you live in an 82 room mansion, they
don't require 82 synchronized Squeezeboxes and 82 stereo amplifiers.
For areas like bathrooms and hallways, you'd have a couple of ceiling or
in-wall speakers
Ok I've been looking around for a decent around the house audio system.
This is what I currently have:
Lounge:
Shuttle PC used as a media pc with projector and surround sound system
coming from amp
Study:
2 PCs, both with speaker systems
Bedroom:
Oxx Tube Network Radio
Music Room:
Nothing
Were you unable to get the Duet receiver to play at all?
I believe there is a bug with the Squeezeplay application that keeps
it from playing when synchronized with other players. Believe that
Softsqueeze should have worked, however.
Also, the pc-hosted software players don't synchronize
My vote is that you're not getting something, but we'll need more info.
