'windows ready', or even 'made for windows', or some other hoop before

the duration of the playlist. The web interface doesn't seem to have a
feature to show the duration, so I've put together a PHP script to do

all I've read transcoding on the server side is a losing proposition.
Aside from not being able to rewind and fast forward, you are pounding
the snot out of your server.

I think at least part of the problem is that the formats you're using
must be transcoded to straight PCM by your server and then sent over
your wireless network at that (higher) bitrate. This is costing you
both CPU and network capacity.

want to change channels, skip a song or love a song I have to go back to
the main menu and select Internet Radio - Last.FM again. It would make

Agreed - I consider myself a typical user and it works fine for me. I

I find the double use of the now playing button to cause me trouble.
If you are not in now playing mode, it jumps to now playing.
If you are in now playing, it changes the display format.
If the screensave jumps to now playing just as you are pressing the
button to jump to now playing - you

If you always want just one particular display, you can remove the
other options from the list, or even shorten it to the ones you do
like. It doesn't remove the problem completely in this case, but

updated now. I've checked the .xml file and that's up to date and I now
understand that that's where iTunes puts it.

reproduction, in fact it's generally excellent. Dropouts are fairly
common if you have network issues, beyond that there is a known issue
with FLAC files sometimes missing the very end of the file, leading to

Both PC and Squeezebox are connected to the router by cable!
The Network Test plugin indicates I have at least 4Mbits of bandwidth.
Oh, and my WMA VBR has gotten off to a good start. The first track
stopped half way through (which looks a lot like bug #2938).
