Yes, that's the first expression I've found. Lärm and Geräusch both
stand for noise. While Geräusch is rather neutral, I'd consider Lärm
negative. Dealers selling those pads might think we don't like our
machine's noise. But that's quite off
Problem solved. I had to throw away any files associated with
SlimServer; from the system folder, library etc. Then I reinstalled v.

My SqueezeBox doesn't sync with anything I'm aware of.
Since it's seems to be a player problem and not a server problem, I
guess it doesn't matter on the platform the server is running.

I think the SB's plus point was its low price and audioserver bang for
the buck given the features. If you start making it an audiophile
component from the get go though, the glaring problems with navigation,
etc start becoming exposed. The Wheel MAY address some of those issues,

remote as a substitute. Only got my SB3 yesterday and the first thing I
did was to teach the MX-500 the SB remote and I'll pack the SB remote

and I found that the drives used between 10W and 15W when seeking.

I tried this last night and did not have any luck. It work on the SB3
fine, but on SB1 there is just the message of 'error connect'. It would
be great to hear from someone that has gotten it to work.

Hey.
Just bought a SBv3.
Did a firmware update, because the slimserver told me that.
After playing music for about 5 minutes the SB shuts down and I hear
some click noices in my speakers.
I have to remove the power and insert again before I can come in
contact with the SB.
Any ideas???

At today level of price for used computers is unnecessary to see at low
low Celeron/Pentium II (Slimserver is light but if You have a large
collection of music!). My (happy) experience is with a HP e-PC 40
(a Pentium III 1000), external power supply, only one big and silent
fan and a big HD
I think Sirius is WMA - which SB3 can handle but SB1 cannot so it needs
to be transcoded on the server. If you listen to Sirius in SoftSqueeze
then it should work on SB1.
How WMA transcoding is done will depend on your OS. For Linux you'll
need something like Mplayer/AlienBBC

Ironically, I actually like the Slim remote. Does the job, snappy
enough, feels OK. I'm stil using my SliMP3s and I love them to bits.

No, I believe the problem is that browser access can't wake the
computer. To wake a sleeping computer, the ethernet port has to
receive a magic packet that wakes it up, a.k.a. the wake-on-LAN
packet. The Squeezebox is configured to send such a packet, hence it
can wake a sleeping computer. Web
The screen going blank is behavior indicative of the Squeezebox losing
it's connection to the Slimserver. Low signal strength or wifi
interferance can cause this, or possibly an issue with Slimserver
itself. (firewall snapping closed, or the server app is shutting
down.)

It doesn't matter which radio station I listen to. Adding it to
Favorites is fine, it's pressing the Favorites button that causes the
crash.
The crash occurs regardless of what I'm playing - Internet radio or my
music library.
