I think it is the default way. I thought it was odd or possibly something
weird i had done by mistake. If you select text and then
Format - Character
it uses points rather than percentages. Then you can drag and drop the text
onto the style and it changes the style to suit the settings

I've finally done the wiki from Calc onwards. Some very drastic reductions in
width. Centered the Full Books under their branches' sections. Also made the
different guides a lot more consistent with each other in the wiki-coding.
I've thought about it and decided to leave Writer and
willing to read/record our completed docs
and making them available on our site.

The wiki seems to drop out occasionally, not very often but it's a little
annoying as it seems to know when i need it and carefully chooses those
moments. It should be ok most of the time so just try again when you have
time.
The wiki is going to be upgraded soon. Probably just
the Docs Team wikis should be any less inconsistent with
each other than any of the rest of the wiki.
