DATA A, AFSK A, PSK D, and FSK D are data submodes. Set the mode to
DATA, then hold the DATA MD button and the current data submode will be
displayed. Rotate VFO B to change it.
See the K3 manual page 31 - Data Mode Selection.

It's a sub-mode of DATA mode. Press and hold the AFX button to show digital
sub-modes in VFO B portion of display. Rotate VFO B knob to change mode.

Randy, I had a similar situation.
After many tries and tests the problem was that the audio cables - although
expensive - were of bad quality.
Just using another set I was able to have the full output.
