Go into menu and turn the tuner on? Once you get set up, save the
configuration for the time?

And if you ignore this rule, if you hear a lot of clicking after
pressing ATU TUNE, check all the antenna switches and
connections before transmitting. Lots of clicking is frequently
a symptom of no antenna connected.

And a poor antenna system cannot be "fixed" by any a antenna tuner, especially
an automatic one. Good luck turning manually. Even AI cannot fix Imbecilic
antennas!

There is definitely
adjustment even
if recently tuned.
As you probably know, there is more to tuning than just an SWR reading. I do
not hesitate running my KPA1500 into 1.7 to 1 as indicated on my W2 without
retuning.

I use a K3s, a KX3/PX3/KXP100, and a KX2. I would hang onto the second to keep
more radios on the air for different band monitoring and ability to move
relocate the back up. Your wallet may dictate choices. If not a concern,
update the to latest board set and hang onto it.

You do know you have to match the flat portion of the connector to the flat
portion of the case?

The SVGA option will let you have a large screen on your P3.

In response to your question, the K3 Assembly Manual has the KDVR3 Digital
Voice Recorder going in the chassis before the KRX3 Subreceiver. in fact
there is whole separate manual for the subreceiver.

PS I know you said you have a K3S but I believe
I'm about to place an order for a K-Line and have a question for the
experienced users out there. What is the advantage of the P3 v. The SDRPlay box
as a panadapter if any?
Thanks

many of us, but a bargain compared to
buying a brand new K3S, and you're getting about 95% of the performance.
BTW I have no connection with either of the sellers above.
