You have not configured N1MM Logger correctly. Select "Dual RX

What you're seeing is strictly a function of the way N1MM logger
is designed to work - not a failure of the K3 or microHAM Router.

Thanks to all.. The 38400 setting and a straight cable corrected the
problem.. All firmware uploaded and we are back in business..
Again, Thanks

The K3 bootstrap loader runs at 38400. After firmware loaf, the K3
Utility restores the speed it started with. However if the firmware
load fails, the K3 may stay at 38400.

Use a USB to Serial adapter or an RS 232 cable, do not attempt to load
firmware through the microHAM router. It works sometimes, but this
mechanism is not reliable for firmware load.

Attempted to upload new firmware to the K3 this morning and got the "MCU
LD" error. Now the K3 is basically dumb. In the manual, it says to
unplug the power for 5 seconds, Hold the power button for approximately
10 seconds and then re-load the firmware.
My problem is that I can no longer get th

Dick,
I request that improvement be made to the AGC. Recent discussions on the
reflector have confirmed that many of us are experiencing "Noisy K-3
Receivers".
I have tried everything that was recommended, such as: changing AGC
settings and changing RX EQ settings. Fact is, in A/B tests, my K-3 re

Thanks to Dave, Ken and Don for the help and suggestions.
Dug out the old laptop from under the bed. It has a real serial port.
The transfer went fine and now all is working.
Joy!

John,
The blinking TX LED and screen with backlight off is exactly the
condition that you are looking for. Go on to the next step and Test
Communications between K3Utility and the K3. If that is successful,
start the firmware download. If the communications test fails, check
the serial port

Off the top of my head, the only thing I can offer is to remove all
external connections from the K3, except the power cord and a dummy
load. Also, if you are using a USB-to-9 pin adaptor and you have the
ability to use a "traditional" serial cable, try using that.

No joy. I did as the Utility Help said, but after the 10second start
it goes back to the red TX led flashing and the screen is dark.
I took out the KIO3 thinking that something was in transmit mode.
Again, no joy, same symptoms.
I can't even get a screen display. I'm holding off tak
John in the K3 Utility Help file it explains what to do, it's under
troubleshooting - Force K3 into firmware load required mode
Hope that fixes the problem...

I attempted to update my K3 to version 3.68 and now my K3 no longer works.
It was working fine. I updated to version 3.67 yesterday. I tuned the
radio on just now. It was working fine. I downloaded and extracted
version 3.68. I opened the K3 Utility. The utility read the K3's
firmware and
Every once in a while firmware updates do result in changed CONFIG
values. I suspect this results from user customized settings being
changed back to default values as a result of new coding affecting
specific functions.
After every update I run through the CONFIG bank to see which values, if
