The K2 has no provisions for monitoring the transmitted audio. A
separate receiver works well. I keep one at the workbench specificall
so I can check the transmitted SSB signal after I align the filters on a

I'm experiencing audio/RFI feedback on 80M between the frequencies of 3650 KHz
to 3850 KHz using a full-size 80M
vertical 100' from the radio.

4CX800's have not been discontinued.
The truth is that the old military version of it, the GU74B is no longer
produced. Gone with it is the low price of less than $100 a piece for
those old, dark gray, tarnished-looking tubes.

That information has been superseded. There was a lot of activity way
back when to reduce the filter 'blowby'. Since that time there have
been several changes in the filter - the filter crystals were spec'ed
better between Elecraft and their crystal vendor (started with SN 2560),
