I was one of the early users of the CQ-Contest reflector, back in the
90s, and it was a long time before I became aware that hams were the
only ones who referred to these things as reflectors rather than

allows one to lock the document so it can look the same across platforms
and operating systems. I also intensely dislike MS Word for technical

to be on a specific topic and last 1 hour. Elecraft could charge a small
fee to cover costs. If you cannot make a specific webinar, then they are
usually available after the fact via DVD for a small fee as well.

I am also a new General class licensee and my new K3 is my FIRST venture in HF.
It’s a world of difference from 2 meter. The current owner’s manual assumes
previous experience with HF radio operation. A tutorial/new owner’s
manual/video(s)/etc. would be most welcome as opposed to hours wasted

My K2/10 (#6255) has suddenly lost any receive capability on 40 meters. It
transmits on all bands including 40 meters but hears nothing on 40. I have
done the simple checks in changing coax and antenna inputs with no change. I
have a second K2 for comparison, but lacking any lab equipment here

I agree that the K3 user documentation is pretty amateurish, but it's vastly
better than, say, the SteppIR documentation. On the other hand, the K3
assembly instructions are outstanding. Writing good technical manuals is
MUCH harder than most people realize and often gets short shrift by
END of this thread.
In general, discussion of what should and should not be posted to the
list is addressed by our list guidelines. Please do not post to the list
on this as it only serves to increase list noise level unacceptably. If
