I am always portable and for a quick antenna when portable, if you
have a vehicle mounted antenna with RG8/59 connected to it, just
remove the antenna and attach a long wire and throw that up into the
trees...the K3 ATU handles mine just fine..80-10M.

Whilst I find your comments on the PROIII are correct in that it is an

If you have EZ_K3 do a plot on your antenna on one band, then try the ATU.
If you have an antenna that is fed by open wire line for example there will

Listening from afar, most 1Kw signals are rarely clean with no audible

Recently I worked a G3 station who claimed he was running a PW-1 set at

I have been using the K3 on PSK31 and I suspect the K3 is set for 19200

lately I have noticed that sometimes the main receiver sounds distorted when
signals are not even very strong (S5-7) without having Notch, NR, NB or wide
filter active and AGC is on slow.
