idea about
using the IF output for mult. searching, which would require using VFO B to
set tx/rx using the sub rx.Alternately can I get to the IF output from

the K3 is also good in that you can select the power output to be band
specific.
(under CONFIG). So if your amp needs 50w on 15 and 35w on 80, set it once
and don't worry about it anymore.

to SP without logging someone just before.

Looking for comments on how well a KX3 does in a rtty contest.
I am thinking of using a kx3 in a SO2R setup at 100w with the hopefully
soon to arrive KPA100, but wondered how it stacks up. I'm currently
using K3's and FT1000 MKV. (that Sherwood report sure got me thinking).

I am using it happily, but the tones seem inverted (as if the rig is
in USB instead of the standard LSB). Selecting ALT sideband
does nothing to change this, although the LCB icon does show up.
Please let me know if I'm the only one???

I've used a kx3 as the third radio in a so3r configuration. I was low power
but did not
see any additional issues with using a kx3 rather than a k3. You may find it
necessary
to use the 8 kHz offset to reduce the zero if bleed through if you don't have
enough
inter band isolation.

I have two K3s, SN in the 3XXX and 4XXX range. I notice that over time I can
see a leading
edge spike on first character of cw. If I redo TxGain calibration it goes
away. It seems like
I need to redo the TxGain cal about every year.

This came up as a possibility a couple years ago. I was wondering with the k3s
new RF
board and synthesizers if there is a chance for full duplex operation with the
2nd RX.
Would make for an interesting possibility of single radio "SO2R" operation....
o write software (not me.. .I just use it).
Is there any chance that we could have a 'compact' version of the W2
software display just like we have for the KPA500?

Is it normal for the 6M output to be about 10 watts less than indicated (i.e.
90w for 100w
setting). If I do the 50w wattmeter cal on 20 M all bands but 6 are pretty
much right on.
Conversely if I cal on 6 then all the lower bands are (not surprisingly) 10
watts high.
