If you do a search on 0x800CCC0F in Technet, Im betting there are more suggestions than just turning off email scanning to resolve the issue. Otherwise, I would crank up transport logging : (Tools/Options/Other/Advanced Options) and see if that reveals anything worthwhile. -Original

The message is received even if no mail is being sent. Mail does successfully go in and out, but mail with large attachments take longer to send than without. And I did check Technet, that's how I found to turn off outbound email scanning. The MTU was a nudge where I needed to go... checking
