You need to configure your IMC to receive all of the host names used on the
Sendmail side. Along with that, you might consider rerouting all of the
extra hosts to your primary domain. Things will appear more seamless that

we do not use DNS nor Hosts entry for @x2.abc.com as we just indicate
the IP of that host in the forward all messages to this domain..that Hosts
receives messages just from us so they do not have any presence on the
internet...other than its IP address

I suggest, as have others, that you look at a possible hard disk failure.
The only time I have experienced this situation is following a scsi disk
failure. On first reset the disk showed up as failed, a power cycle luckily
got it started. It has now been replaced.

I am interested in finding a utility that can do the following:
- search an Exchange 5.5 information store for a designated attachment
- search an Exchange 5.5 information store and provide detailed information
on each mailbox with the amount of attachments they have as well as their
size
