Actually, doxy is available in liquid form and this is the form that should always be used with cats. If a doxy tablet gets stuck going down it will do serious damage to the esophagus. I haven't tried grinding a prednisone and putting it in food, but you might try that. I find cat food like

my Snuggles was healthy outside of infection, not stressed, but he did not like pills. my only solution was to take him to the vet every day. at home, he tried to kill me every time i gave him a pill. at the vet's he was an angel. savved me a few trips to the hospital for transfusions.
