I haven't timed the exact duration of eps. export, but I've seen it
take around 8-10 seconds per page on big scores. About 4-5 seconds is
what I estimate it takes for normal sized music.

How long does it take you gentlemen to export one page from a score or
part?
10 years and still waiting.

I was interested in this thread, as I have an aging G4 733 mHz with
Panther, so I did a test (FinMac 2005a).

Aw, that sounded so pathetic; I feel really bad for you guys.

I would be very surprised if it did not. Finale 2004 and 2005 both
work on Mac OS X 10.2.x and newer -- there's no reason why anyone
should expect that 10.4 will break compatibility with

I think you'd find otherwise if you actually did timed benchmarks of
your system versus Paul's system (500 MHz G4).

No, that's actually a very bad idea, because then you will have to pay

Hi Hiro,
Paul said he wanted Tiger (OS X 10.4). I understand your reasons for
*not* wanting to install Tiger right away, but Paul said he wants it.
And if you did want Tiger, it would be a bad idea to buy a new computer
now instead of after Tiger is released, because you'll end up having to
