If you are not set up to update directly from CVS, then 'fink selfupate' and 'fink selfupdate-cvs' differ. My recollection is that 'fink selfupdate' without CVS only updates to the highest point release (but somebody should correct me if I'm wrong. -- Alexander K. Hansen Associate Research Scien

It's pretty simple (sorry if this is a duplicate--a mail program crashed on me during a send) 1) Make sure you have a working C compiler (Development Tools appropriate to your OS version). 2) Do 'fink selfupdate-cvs'. Everything should be taken care of more or less automatically. That's it. -

Hi, The last few days I cannot do an update with cvs. If I do a fink selfupdate, I see the line cvs z3 (...) and nothing seems to happens. Usually I could see all the files scroll over the screen. Is there a problem with the cvs server? How do I return to a normal update? thanks, - Koen. _
