This vim-nox update hangs in the tests. A bunch of output gets thrown to the terminal, including some beeps, then it stops doing anything with this as the last couple lines: # Check if the test.out file matches test.ok.

A couple of things to check, operationally, is whether /sw/fink/10.2 is present on your system, and whether /sw/fink/dists is a symbolic link to /sw/fink/10.2 . If not, then you might be able to solve the problem by going into the directory where you decompressed the fink source tarball to install

I have the following for /sw/fink: drwxr-xr-x 14 hansen admin 476 Oct 15 15:37 fink and for /sw/fink/10.2: drwxr-xr-x6 hansen admin 204 Oct 15 15:37 10.2 I seem to recall that somebody had a similar problem on 10.1 a while back. Maybe try moving /sw/fink/10.2 out of

Altering the Trees: line just gives you access to unstable versions. You can still update from CVS without doing this--but you'll only see updates to the stable tree. Is there some reason you aren't just using 'fink selfupdate' or 'fink selfupdate-cvs' to do the update, especially since the mess

It's pretty simple (sorry if this is a duplicate--a mail program crashed on me during a send) 1) Make sure you have a working C compiler (Development Tools appropriate to your OS version). 2) Do 'fink selfupdate-cvs'. Everything should be taken care of more or less automatically. That's it. -
