Pro: good first impression on new users; con: kills nearly all of your

If all of those sites are filtered out will there be any ads left to display?
What will be left over? Simulator hardware (yokes, pedals, etc)?

My guess is that there isn't anything quick and easy for this release, but
I'm wondering if anyone has ideas for getting the splash screen up on the
screen faster. Currently on my p4 2.4 it is taking 10 seconds for the splash
screen to appear. AFAIK all we need is the geometry and gamemode pref

Hi,
I've been working with the Flightgear code in an
attempt to test out some reinforcement learning techniques, and I've run into a
little bit of a problem. I need to write up an initialization module that
sets the plane in a consistent stable state in mid air with specific parameters

Now that Mathias' patch is part of PLIB release maybe it makes sense to

Does the Reset option in the File menu work for anyone?
After I fall, or bounce, down the side of a cliff at the edge of a
runway, (like into a lake that shouldn't be there),
I can never get the plane to reset, unless I Exit and Restart.
Sometimes I return to the runway, sometimes I don't.
But ever

The problem is, how do you define which section should be used by which OS?
If you look at the code above

The problem is that loading the airport database take *much* (>10 times) longer
on Windows than Linux

Hello,
I encountered a missing linker parameter while building 'fgfs' on
Solaris, the threaded tile loader calls for _getfp and after adding
'-lpthread'. Well, I am aware that not many people will build
FlightGear on Solaris and we'll have binary packages for those people
who don't want to build th

Why can't we have a tiny little app that is just intelligent enough
to find the XML file, check whether we should be splashing ourselves,
knows to abort quietly if not, and otherwise brings up a splash window?
Given something like that, with very very few library dependencies,
we should be able to

It looks like maybe a file is missing in the changes to the Citation II that
were commited tonight. The pilot eyepoint is way out front of the aircraft.
The file that needs to be updated is probably Citation/Citation-II-set.xml.
A couple comments on this file (as it is in CVS):
