We had a different problem with Save as PDF. We use alternate-row shading
in tables. In some table cells, seemingly randomly, the text goes behind
the shading, becoming invisible. We have no solution so we Print to PDF
like in the old days.

I gave up on Save As PDF months ago when it was unreliable for tables. In
tables with alternate rows shaded, sometimes the text in the shaded rows is
obscured behind the shading. So we now mandate Print Book to PDF and all is
well.

I use both HostGator and Omnis. Omnis doesn't have as many bells and
whistles, but I never have any trouble with them, and their support is very

Through a series of misadventures, I find myself these days working in a
file with a table about 2000 rows long. Framemaker's not crashing! I am
not doing anything fancy like merging cells, but I sort the content, add

not finish the output for XHTML or any other type of output, even with a

Is anyone familiar with this? It's not folder permissions, I've tried
running FM12 as admin, etc.
