I recently upgraded from Frame 8 to Frame 2019. I've hit my first hiccup.
I have subtopics that are comprised either partly or entirely of conditional
text. I just attempted to do something that was seamless in FM8; insert a

OK, here's the setup, in '17:
1. Some shared chapter files are in a \Shares directory parallel to the

4. Each shared file is set up to use the host file's formatting/settings.
The problem is that when the book is updated, the mini-TOCs aren't updated
with the host book's page numbers, so the mini-TOC might say the topic is

As an alternative, I have proposed a script solution where you have a single
book with the TOCs for each language in their desired positions in the main
book. (This is how their book is set up currently anyway.) After you update

You could put each language in one file and create a local TOC in
each file. You also might be able to use subbooks and make TOCs for
each subbook, but I've never used subbooks, so I don't know if

First is to use the cross-reference feature - place cross-references to the
headings you want for your TOC. Define the TOC para style to incoude a tab

To verify that all H1 and H2 headings have been included, I check the
mini-TOC against the bookmarks in the PDF as I'm reviewing it.
