If you don't have the book file open, FrameMaker creates PDF links to the PDF files named after the file (that is, it creates links to file_name.pdf rather than to book_name.pdf). This makes sense. After all, FrameMaker has no way of knowing which book the file belongs to if the book is not

, sometimes when I use Notepad to edit my Maker.ini file, it becomes corrupted. The EOL markers seem to vanish, the whole thing becomes a jumble, and Frame doesn't work properly until I restore an uncorrupted version of the file. What's up with this/ Thanks, Doug

If you have FrameScript, the ReplaceColors script will also let you delete all unused colors, including those stubborn colors that can't otherwise be deleted (w'out saving as MIF). Also, if you use PNG graphics, make sure they use a 24 bit color depth before you import them. --Doug
