Replacing the drive with another brand did not end up fixing the problem. Upgrading to 4.7 and running "atacontrol mode 0 pio3 pio3" did on the new machine. I think it fixed the older machine as well, but not enough time has passed on that machine for me to say for sure. - Jason On S
