Everytime something runs from the the crontab for a given user such as root, I
get an email with the results of the execution. I am running a few crontabs that
run every 2 minutes and this gets to be a lot of excess email. How can I turn
off this feature.

is an entry in the /var/db/dhclient.leases and ifconfig produces 0.0.0.0 for
inet.

they do work. you need to make sure in /stand/sysinstall that u have
your partitions, slices etc set up correctly,(I mean set up the way

it shouldn't be too much of a problem to do the same thing with a
php/cgi script...
probably simpler and quicker even.
or, if you don't have php/cgi available or don't want to do it, the
simplest option i can think of is shellscripting ;)

i don't know any exact numbers, but i guess you could easily achieve a
100-300 MB installation if you just installed the essential stuff (just
basically any is fine, the main desicion that you have to make is if you
want to install new software from source, or use the binary updates from
the ports system...

set up the mouse yet). So i am

Not exactly like windows does, but still useful.

very little has changed...but one of the main reason I love FreeBSD
is because of the ports collection. Has anyone tried downloading the
ports collection on a Darwin system and tried building anything?
