Hi, On November 6, I submitted a New port: http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=ports/151988 so far the submissions seems to be on standby. My question is, if for adding a port takes a 'couple of months' how much does it take for updating current existing ports ? regards.

John Thanks, that was great help, I was able to get the Processor Name string using info from that pdf. Using asm instead of sysctl will ensure a bit more portability. Unfortunatly, getting the actual processor speed (in Mhz) is more complicated according to that pdf, would you have any suggest
