Hi, Nicol.
That error could be anything. That is what is known as a Windows General
Protection Fault. Basicly, it doesn't know what crashed the application.
Just that something crashed it.

It works fine on my xp machine, but is just very slow after a while. Is it
like that with you? Probably just coz I'm using a crummy laptop, although it
has quite a good processor for a laptop - 1.8ghz - but not that much ram. I
think that's what it might be.

Yeah, I know about com audio not being able to mix several sound

Hi.
You can say that again. Fails miserably is an understatement. I think
everyone has played with Com audio when starting out, but it isn't
something anyone wants to stick with for high production games.

Hi, Damien.
Com audio does ok for small projects, but just wait until you do
something much more complex like Monty or a Tank Commander. You will
find out in a hurry Com Audio will not cut it. I've got about 75 sounds
working in Monty and Com Audio would have died along time ago with that

Yes I suppose - comaudio, autoit, two nonstandard development tools are
probably accurate for each other - but vb, vb.net, c++, pascal, all those
probably are designed to do more challenging computer performance tasks,
therefore need more powerful systems such as dx. I suppose that's why I'm

Not that I'm thinking about using it or anything, but if someone really
wanted to, I bet they could get the Audiere source (It's open source, I

No, I'm not hesitant. Like I said I'm closer with c++ now. I just need to

that I've got an understanding about how the syntax works, I can start

No, I don't believe so. I haven't ever checked what libs DX is linked

How about putting cheat codes in at random. You get a file with cheat codes
