The kind of game I enjoy the most is where you pick up an object which comes as
a surprise packet. 2 good examples is light cars and mud splat. IN

Hi Nicol,
Have you ever tried Troopenum 2? In that game the enemy ships drop bonus
items like power ups, extra points, ground nukes, warps, etc and when
you shoot the bonus items you don't know which one you got until you
shoot it down.
That is kind of cool in that game. It makes every game
And don't forget Aliens in the Outback, either. A ship passes overhead and,
if you shoot it, drops a payload. You don't know what's in it, but if you
run over and pick it up quickly enough, you can use the contents later. If
you don't get there quickly enough, it vaporizes, and you never
i, just, don't understand alien outback at all. never have. i try to shoot
the ships, i die. it's manic. lol.

Hi Damien,
that'S probably cause you are not able to destroy the ship (you probably
aren't aimed precisely enough), it lands and thus becomes the so called
lander, as is described in the manual. An alien gets of the ship and starts
walking towards you. If he gets close enough, he sends your
It's not a spoiler, because it is mentioned in the user's guide. You shoot
a ship when you are directly under it, or when the ship is directly in the
center of your field of hearing. HTH.

Hi everyone,
I've made a very bad mistake with coaching in Battrick. You don't have 5 of
each type of coach, I did some experimenting and see that you have 10
training sessions. Of those sessions, you hire coaches from batting,
bowling, fielding, keeping, and fitness to fill these. Example,

Hi Charles,
When I was playing the demo of Aliens in the Outback I wasn't able to
catch those payloads very often. However, they were always cool when I
got them.
One thing I really liked about Aliens was the cool ships, and the number
of different ships.

Ok? It isn't that hard to play. When I had the demo installed before I
timed out I beat the demo a couple of times. It didn't seam to
complicated although getting those payloads while being in the middle of
a firefight was tough sometimes.

Hi all,
Just a quick news report about STFC. As the subject states STFC now has
dynamic rather than static menus. What does this mean?
With the new dynamic menu systems in the ships and stations menu,
formally the vessels menu, destroyed ships will no longer show up in the
list of options.
Hey Ari and all
I've also recently discovered the Battrick thingie.
At present I hired 5 batting, 5 bowling, 1 fitness, 1 fielding, (can't
remember the rest), coaches.
I don't think it's too effective, but what the heck.
My team is Western Transvaal, also from South Africa, if anyone's
interested.
Hi Tom,
The dynamic menus sound great, I am lloiking forward to using them to kill
some borgs with extreme predjudice. grin.
One question, and forgive me if you had mentioned this somewhere else. I was
wondering if the weapons firing choices will reflect the remaining left
number of torpedoes
Hi. This is great news and definitely an answer to a feature I asked for
back in June. I cannot wait to try it out.

What about specifying the exact amount of torpedoes. Let's say I want to
fire 42 quantums. Could you do a spin box or edit field for that?

I saw this game once on audiogames.net, but I thought it wasn't in English,
so I didn't download it. I just may have to do it after all.

Liam, I agree with you. I'm a sound-effect nut, but it doesn't bother me if
they aren't there. I can still have fun with a good game.

Hi Allan,
Well, at the moment no the number of torpedoes in the menus doesn't
reflect the number of torpedoes the ship can fire. Although, now that
you mentioned it would make allot of sence to have it stop when you
reached the maximum number of torpedoes.
Although, I will say right off I
Hi Raul,
I had you in mind when I began working on the new dynamic menu UI. In
fact I learned something by applying your suggestions I had never
thought about. Instead of coding lots of exceptions why a station for
example can't go to warp simply remove the item, and me, the programmer,

Hi David,
I am sure I can. However, in general torpedoes on Star Trek are fired in
groups of 5. Of course, they can fire a specific amount as well.
See my prier post, but in 2.x you will only be able to fire up to a
maximum of 30 torpedoes in any case. I don't see any problem making a
dialog

Huh? Your question seams like you only wrote down half of it. I am

Hi Charles,
Yeah, I know that. My demo I have downloaded is the Draconis version.
Comparing Aliens to Troopenum there are some really cool differences.
The alien landers is by far the cooler difference. I also like the
mutant sheep.
However, one thing that makes Troopenum cool is the Gorbian
