Unfortunately free voices are very bad compared with the ones you buy.
However $25 to $35 per voice should not be too much for most people.
I buy my voices from NextUp.
If you do have Jaws you should have gotten a CD of SAPI voices that were
included in Jaws 8 or 9.

It happened to me to on this computer. Running xp, though, I uninstalled
some at&t voices to manage space, and they still show up in speech, though
they don't work and the remaining at&t voices don't iether. I resintalled
them, though, and everythings going smoothly.

The sapi voices (or more acurately voice) that come with vista are, in
actuality, quite good, and about the best your going to get for free. If you
hate that voice, your not going to like anything else. Try using MS Sam or
MS Mike and you'll know what I mean.
