Well, imho, I love the fact that you automaticly run with the arrow keys. I

prefer to run than just normally walk, especially if there is something
like time bonus's or something. I really liked the fact. But of co

Hi,
Apologies accepted. Believe it or not I do see both sides of the issue

I figured dropping DirectSound mid development wouldn't exactly go

Hi Ben,
Yeah, I agree. However, I'm welcome to your suggestions how to fix the
problem. OpenAL doesn't offer 2d panning, and while I suppose it is
possible to write one for OpenAL we are talking about upgrading the
core OpenAL libraries and who knows when those changes would get into

I can certainly see why cross platform capability is important. Heck.
After all, logically, all it does is make the game playable to a bigger
group of customers, and who on earth would want to do that, right?

Hello,
Doesn't that engine you use have a simple sound-pan function? Like you give
it a number, like 500, and it pans it to the right a bit? Or maybe a
lot? Since if so, you could do what philip has done with BGT, or the
other titles. Calculate the pan-value between an object and you. I don't

And I can remember long ago that it was mentioned on this list that David

Hi Charles,
Right. The fact of the matter is both Mac OS and Linux are two
emerging technologies for the blind, and it only seams fair to attempt
to expand the accessible games market into those two emerging markets.
True the Mac and Linux markets are smaller than the Windows market
currently, but

I don't know. The warning messages often come too early or too late.
It is hard to get them to be timed correctly. Then again, are you

This is a fighting game, and anyone who has fighting game experience can
pick this up and play.. though odds are it's going to be hard to master.
That's not to say we won't be able to have a good time with it. In short,

Hi Ben,
Oh, I see. Yes, the game itself is loosely based off Tomb Raider and
obviously the traps, weapons, etc are similar in some aspects.
However, having mazes, traps, whatever is pretty par for that genre of
game. It is in fact one of the reasons I personally like that style of
game.
However, i

Hmmm...Yes and no. The game is a part of the fighting genre so if you

Thanks Tom. I didn't have a chance to explain fully... but that's a good

I also experience that although lara gives her second warning, the fire

This is how I do it: if I hear the sound of the fire in the distance, I take

I seem to remember this sort of thing happening sometimes in Beta 13 also.
It happened to me once with this Beta. Haven't played with it much what with
the marriage and all. Maybe I'll boot it up again or maybe I'll just wait
