convar, cl_connectmethod, that contains a string value that indicates how the

Since most people seem to be happy with the list in its current form, it looks
like it's highly unlikely that we would be able to find another alternative
that offers compelling enough advantages to make it worth our while to migrate.
There has been a bug in the TF2 server reputation trend calculation.
Previously, it would only report that the reputation was either "slightly
upward" or "downward fast."
It will be fixed in the next update, to properly show five different levels: up
fast, up slow, steady, down slow, and down

This is a problem we're obviously aware of. It's definitely not that we don't
care. However, it is essentially an arms race that is provably unwinnable by
Valve. Furthermore, any change we make in the name of security will almost
certainly cause a disruption of legitimate service, due to bugs
not pan out like you (and us server ops) are hoping
since the vast majority of players probably aren't even aware of such
problems.

There are two independent scoring systems. One for Steam, one for TF2. They
work on similar principles, but are not identical. The purpose of both is
primarily to identify really bad servers, not differentiate between "good" and
"better" ones.

We are working on something like this. The ability to "level" your game server
account. Certain benefits would only be given to servers with level >= N, etc.
Show the level in the server browser and give preferential treatment, etc.
Get caught breaking the rules, and you lose your level, etc
A mandatory TF2 update will be released in an hour or two.
We're releasing a new map: cp_foundry. This map will be eligible to receive
quickplay traffic.

A bad HLDS update tool was propped and live for a brief window of time, and it
looks like you updated to it.
The only problem with the new tool was the self-update, everything else works
fine. Adding -nobootstrapupdate to your command line is a temporary workaround.
We'll have a real solution

The errors are confusing, but it's a normal part of the queuing process. It
just means the server it's trying to connect to is too busy.
