Seems your question has been answered, but wanted to point out the IBM Z
Connectivity Handbook (SG24-5444) is an excellent resource for such questions
regarding channel architecture, connectivity options, connector types, etc.
Example, OSA-Express5S 1000BASE-T Ethernet feature code 0417 from
WebSphere z/OS is a bit different. Uses IBM Installation Manager, but I doubt
you would need training based on your experience.
WebSphere maintenance pretty much consists of fix packs. At the moment
8.5.5.12 is the second most recent 8.5 fix pack. So you seem okay in that
