A mix again of big gun Asia and Australia, with the band above about
1200kHz almost completely dead save for a burst from 1242. Some
samples recorded earlier in the morning indicated a more Asian
flavor, also big guns, though Tahiti was quite strong about 0800UT.

As I expected, given the geomagnetic activity, it was another all DU

Point taken. :-)
Come to think of it, I did not help many little old ladies across the

That said, I did not drink a whole bottle of beer until I was 20 and have
never smoked dope or used drugs...
Which makes me the hopeless DXing square I am today! :-)

Sorry, Colin, I am not sure that Richard's story justifies slamming the

Based on what I get here and that his list has a southerly tendency (i.e. no UK

612 Morocco (has poor modulation)
639 Spain RNE
774 Spain RNE (probably too late for secondary Egypt)
936 Spain RNE
1044 Spain SER
1062

Completely dominating KVI Seattle. 7:35-7:46 PDT. Signal is now even with KVI
at 7:47 PDT with male speaker singing. No commercials during this time period.
Any ideas?

Good morning,
Listened from 1357-1428 utc. The Pacific Northwest storm has arrived in Kalama
with peak winds of 13 mph and .38 inches of rain. Signals seemed attenuated and
splatter was down on many of the channels with audio this morning. Very weak
signals on 7 of the 11
Listened from 1255-1335 UT conditions was good but different from yesterday and
I had a good LSR enhancement. All action was on the bottom part of the band
with only a weak carrier of 1566. Carriers were heard on 531,558, 567, 585,
594, 603, 612, 648, 657, 666, 675, 693, 747, 774, 819, 828,
612 from Brisbane is very strong at 14:15 with Blondie. Nice clean signal
// to 702 with almost equal strength and 828 at fair level. So decent dawn
enhancement from DU. 73, Walt Salmaniw, Victoria, BC

A little different mix here, Colin-- no wind, little rain and little DX. A few

Of course no DU's here-- I might need to move to Oklahoma to track down some of

Big guns loaded up at various times; that seemed to be where the
sunrise enhancement was at this location, not in the appearance of
various second tier stations.. Lots of potential in various carriers
but remained potential without somebody doing some serious
digging. Some Aussie signals.
