The answer to almost every question you asked is yes. The desktop works
exactly the same. You can use another email client Outlook, Windows Live
mail, or Thunderbird. The settings area is much easier to use. The start
area works even better. You can pin any programs to the start area.

I am finding that Google Chrome works best. IE is too slow, and Firefox
sometimes crashes, but Google Chrome works with all navigation keys and is

Hi Alan, if you want to use the laptop layout for JAWS instead of the
desktop layout, here is what you do. Bring up the JAWS menu. Now,
open options menu. Then open basics. Start tabbing. There will be a
list of three different keyboard layouts. Arrow down to laptop. Tab
to Okay and press

perform a JAWS command. The Caps, insert, or other key you set as
