I just updated the Avast program files, the Version is now 5.0.677. I open
the avast by Inset f11 and using the Jaws left mouse click. Tabbed down the
definitions and program updates and use the mouse left click to update the
program.

Try downloading a program called appremover from appremover.com.

I think you might have something else going on with your system, I have used
AVAST for quite some time and have never had anything like that to happen.
Are you running any other virus or spyware programs? I know that sometime
you will get conflicting problems if you run more than one virus
The last scan I did Avast completed successfully.
