My colours stay red whether I am in scrolling view or not - I've looked at changing colours in Windows as Sherry suggested but Windows are quite adamant that whilst changing font colours and other colours is quite possible it will only change Windows and will not affect any programmes! I cannot

Well you are lucky - at least some of your text turns white - my problem is the fact that *none* of the text turns white at any time under the highlight no matter what view I am in - be it Best Fit, One, Two or Three Columns or Grid View - there seem to be several of us having similar problems but

I think this is a case of apples and oranges and you are both right in your contexts. In the normal children column view Kirsty is seeing that the highlighted children' names etc remain the colour for males, females and unknown gender (I see the same). I think Sherry is talking about the children
