sorting of bibliography

Yes the headings style is fancy and I put \rfoot{} in the preamble. But I
discovered that the footer is not shown on pages with the chapter headers.
I'm trying to write a contract which has a chapter on almost all pages so
the footers are not shown this way.
So the question now in my case is how to get the footer on the chapter
pages?

how to make sections in bibliography?
Hi, I've tried all day to section my bibliography, but I keep getting errors. The "sectioned bibliography" in document settings is checked. Also two seperate bibtex databases are created, and added these to the bibliography in LyX. When unchecking "sectioned bibliography", the bibliography works fine, but then it is not sectioned. The errors I get are: Missing $ inserted Extra }, or forgotten $ Missing } inserted Do I need to do something else to make sectioned bibliographies work in LyX? Hi, I have created a layout for my reference list with "latex makebst". The result is two files (one .bst and one .dbj). Now I would like to use this layout in a document. How do I do that? LyX dumps core with locale setting at UTF-8
Hi, My LyX (1.6.8) is exiting with: ... terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error' what(): locale::facet::_S_create_c_locale name not valid Abort (core dumped) ... It seems a problem with the locale setting. When using en_US.UTF-8, LyX aborts like above. When setting locale to "C", it runs without problems. But I want to use UTF-8 for accents etc. so how can I let LyX run with UTF-8? I'm using LyX on FreeBSD 8.1-STABLE. tex4ht on FreeBSD with LyX 1.5.7
Hi, I'm looking for someone who has experience with exporting lyx documents to open document format in FreeBSD. I read that is done by the tex4ht package. I'm running LyX 1.5.7 on FreeBSD 7.2-ST, and LyX uses teTeX 3.0. How do I install tex4ht on my system? The LyX-wiki says that it should already been installed but on my system I don't think it is. When I add a converter LaTeX (plain) -> OpenDocument with the converter htlatex, LyX complains that "an error occurred whilst running htlatex", and does nothing. exporting to ODF or DOC
Hi, Is there any way of exporting a LyX document to OpenDocument or Word? In LyX you can add the export to your menu but that only seems to change the file extension, and not converting anything. multiple lines in header
Hi, How do I get more than one line in the header? I would like to put my personal information (name, adress etc.) in the header of the letter. I've looked in the fancyhdr.dvi file but without success. I'm also interested in the adjustment of the font size/type of the header. Hi, I recently installed LyX 1.3.4 on my DEC PWS 600au running XFce4 as windowmanager. Problem is that LyX kills the X server when I try to open a document in the help section of the menu bar, like the tutorial or the user's guide. Messages I get after the shutdown of X are: ... lyx: SIGHUP signal caught ... The application 'xfce4-panel' lost it's connection to the display:0.0; Most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed the application ... Does anyone know why this happens? Hi, Since LyX-1.3.0 I'm unable to compile LyX on FreeBSD. Hi, I downloaded and tried to install LyX-1.3.0 on a DEC/Alpha Personal Workstation, running FreeBSD 4.7-RELEASE. I used the standard xforms toolkit. While compiling it exits with tons of messages like this: ... xformsimage.o(.text+0x4918): undefined reference to 'flimage_enable_tiff' *** Error code 1 ... LyX-1.2.3 runs fine on this machine. After a lot of searching I found a website where someone experienced the same problems I have. The solution described is to edit the language.dat files (there are two of them), and after that you have to run "/usr/local/bin/fmtutil --all" to rebuild all the hyphenation files. I don't seem to get LyX to hyphenate correctly. In texconfig I edited "language.dat" (and enabled dutch hyphenation), and did a rehash. In LyX I did a reconfigure. But when I view the DVI output it doesn't hyphenate correctly. In the Latex log I should see that Babel and hyphenation patterns are loaded, but it isn't there. Now I understand that I need to create this file myself. But how do I do that? There is some information in the end of the file merlin.mbs, but I have no idea how to create a babelbst.tex. citation question marks and no bibtex references
Hi, I tried to make my own .bst file with makebst. But when I try to use this generated file and view my dvi-output I get question marks for all of my citation references and no reference list. In LyX itself all looks fine. My LaTeX log file shows some warnings like: ... LaTeX Warning: Citation 'author' on page XX undefined on input line XXX ... And this is probably my problem. lyx-1.2 and accents
Hi, In lyx 1.1.6 I used to create accents by clicking on the bar below and typing a command (like accent-umlaut). In lyx 1.2 I'm not able to use the bar to use it as a commandline input anymore. Does anyone knows how I can get accents in lyx 1.2?
