but it looks to me as if I need to set some options to auto instead of the
recommended settings from Anne. I have just scanned 30 pages and got nearly

have tried a few apps which seems to go busy with VoiceOver and work fine

Well, I installed the previous version (9.2.25) and everything works as
advertised. I was able to setup vuescan, do a scan, and have it open in ABBYY
FR Express.
StillAm I correct in saying that the sole advantage of using VuesScan is the
ability to scan multiple pages and then OCR the file
to be converted.
Thats what my machine is supposed to do.
btw, I am not running Mavericks here (too many bugs for my taste).

Thanks Ray, I just submitted one also. I consider it a minor issue as VueScan
has been creating the RTF files and I've just been Command-Tabbing to Finder
and opening them from there. While troubleshooting this, I removed the 64 bit
version and tested the 32 bit version and while I did feel
Ed and I are still trouble shooting this one. I've sent off two screen shots
and the latest .log file. I also informed him that in version 8 of VueScan,
this issue did not exist. If anything developes, I'll post it here.

Snapscan, and will instead be ordering an Epson WorkForce GTS50, which I
believe has a more standard set of drivers. So, I'll definitely give Vuescan a

I use VueScan for basic Snailmail and small document scanning with w Lied90
scanner. I do not have the latest update though. I find that, yes, sometimes
you have to flip the page around or over until the orientation is correct, but
since I'm usually listening to good music or chatting

I've spent too many hours with Vuescan. I so wanted it to work, and I have on
occasion gotten it to read some things. But, the set-up is pretty strange, or
perhaps I'm just not getting something. I have trouble configuring how/where
to save files. When I do get it to scan, it lacks

I have vuescan which I need to activate. But vo won't let me
type in the text fields. I tried interacting with it, but it
won't type anything when I try to put in the informN. How do I
get around this?
