I was able to remove all 6 glow plugs from my 98 e300 without breaking any. 3 of they were stuck in there good but lots of tightening and loosening, and gentle wiggling back and forth along with pb blaster got them out. I can see where it would be easy to screw up that job and break one off.

I was able to remove all 6 glow plugs from my 98 e300 without breaking any. 3 of they were stuck in there good but lots of tightening and loosening, and gentle wiggling back and forth along with pb blaster got them out. I can see where it would be easy to screw up that job and break one off.

The plastic liner in the braided SS line is longer lasting than the rubber line. The SS braid is self abrasive, especially if you get it muddy. The more the suspension moves, the quicker it causes problems. On paved roads outside of pothole country I would expect them to last 50k miles or more.
