If you have a garage attached to your house, rather
than a detached one, your insurance is higher. I
believe the reason for that is because if your house
burns and/or blows up, etc., there is more chance of
your garage and car doing the same so the insurance

I agree with Dan Niziolek on this one. Currently, zoning considers 5,000 square feet a buildable lot. If they are going to lower that to whatever some of these odd shaped lots are, then it doesn't make sense to require a garage.
I live on a block with 6 21/2 story walk-ups. There are no alley
I don't understand. The council voted down an Iraq motion because national
issues are out of their jurisidiction and thus a waste of the city council's
time.
But they have time to consider requiring* citizens to build garages? I have
a neighbor who ripped up her driveway and planted flowers
I'm confused.
I thought Minneapolis wanted to ban cars (or at least discourage their
use.) Then again, maybe not.
We're spending two fortunes in opposite directions: $150 million to expand
35W at Lake Street and $??? millions to build Light Rail.
No wonder we have so many mental health proble
I also live across from a party house (with drugs too probably) and I live in
Kingfield, an area I thought was outside the crime containment zone. It has
taken years of 911 calls and threats against the landlord to finally shut
these people up (and who knows when they'll start up again?).
