Subject: [mssms] Aggressive CCMSetup command line
I discovered when trying to fix some clients that the CCMSETUP process invokes
a more aggressive command line upon retry.

Scott,
Did you ever figure this out? We are stuck in a pattern of circular logic on
this one. Microsoft provides the standalone SkyDrive Pro installers but the
silent switches don't work. I found examples that support this on
social.microsoft.com.
The official answer seems to be to use the

I've got an HP ElitePad 900 to test with. I'm going to try to upgrade over
Windows 8 Pro on it. I'll post my results.
I do not do OSD, this will be manual.

The article is (still) lacking detail.
For every computer with WMF 3.0 where you have CCMEVAL set to Repair if it
finds an issue (which is the default), if a WMI repair is initiated by the
CCMEVAL it will corrupt WMI.
This is because WMF 3.0 is makes fundamental and permanent changes to WMI
Users. Who needs software RIGHTNOWRIGHTNOW?
I would ignore them. OR remind then how long it used to take for the helpdesk
to sneakernet stuff.
There is some time built into the content download process even with 1E
deployed, so I wouldn't think anything lower than 15 would show any benefit.

I just deleted 5,000 SCNotify and _SCNotify files from the SCCM client logs
folder on a Citrix server. This was 300MB of files.
What can be done to mitigate this? It was not the first time, so I don't think
this is a one-off.
Thanks.

Or Software Update deployment state by date
I don't see built in reports for this.
I need to know which computers in a collection that installed patches today
(bonus: and rebooted.)
Thank you!

We ripped out Altiris in 2006/7 and installed SMS 2003. Then SCCM 2007 and
SCCM2012 we evaluated Landesk, in a very serious way. You can't beat the
ecosystem Microsoft has built around Office/SCCM/System Center. We have 27,000
clients.
Landesk is a good product. I have heard nothing buy
he see anything different?

This is really odd. I proved through running procmon.exe that that IIS and

I removed the MP, removed IIS, re-added both and it seems to have fixed it.
This server is dedicated as an MP.
