Same for me.
However, I now have realised that I don't need this power for my daily
tasks :)
I've bought MLO for my work (systems development) and it was great!
However, for my daily errands and tasks, Todoist or Marvin is perfectly
fine. And they are much more visually attractive and offer
he context gets assigned.
Similar with few other properties.
I think scripting language might cover this feature nicely, with some
additional functionality, but this is up to developers to decide, if this
is worth the effort.

Hi,
but how would you use these autoformated flags? As far as I can see there
are only two options:
- visual use - flags would be used to convey some information about a
task
In this case, the icons should perfectly do the job, as there is no

Hi,
After task is selected, Alt+1 changes selection to its note. Then you can
select all using Ctrl+A. And then Ctrl+C.

Hi Laurence,

I had exactly the same problem and none of other solutions worked.

Yes, indeed, calling Google Assistant via widget solves this problem.
Thank you!
Let's see how Google will decide to proceed with Assistant's development in
the future.

Hi David,
thanks.
Ok, that might be promising :)
But how can you change the note taking app? In the link it says "press on

After I register any note, it saves it into its own note app (which is very

As I understand, this is not a usual upgrade with bug fixes and some minor
functionality, but a new feature pack, which they decided to charge
additionally.
Personally I think it is worth it.

That's probably the main problem with MLO for Android for me. Instead of just
pressing a button and selecting "Tomorrow", now there's a lot of clicks
needed... This forces me to do the task management in desktop version, which is
very inconvenient.

Hi,
I'm also only using start dates, here's why:
- for the tasks that have a specified duration, I use Calendar
- most of my tasks have "Due" dates, which are totally created by me. In
this case, the "Overdue" task seems like a false alert.
- Many tasks makes sense only in a specific
formatting, but couldn't do it.

Ok, thank you.
I'm using grouping by context in the views, so that might mess up this. But
that's an option.
I was expecting something in the Advanced filtering setup like
"Parent(Parent())" or "IsBelowFolder".
Other easy option would be just to drag out my Folder 2 to root hierarchy
and then
Hi,
But can you see the tasks without hierarchy, just a simple list?

rchy makes the view much more cluttered and usually I know already
which project/folder the task is coming from.
That's why I wanted to achieve this with Advanced filtering, but couldn't
manage to do.

Hi,
thanks for the reply.
I have built a simple example tree (below).
I want to select *Folder 2* as my source folder and see all "Active Task -
want to see" tasks in the to-do list.
But I don't want to see "Active task - don't want to see" task, because
it's in the different folder.
I hope
would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I have another issue with these checkboxes.
Sometimes I want to use MLO also as an outlining tool, similar to Workflowy or
Dynalist. In this case my entries has nothing to do with tasks, now they're
just lists with reference items. To have them "checked/completed" doesn't make
any sense.
And
Hi,
this is how it works in my productivity system.
First, I think MLO is meant to have unlimited subtask hierarchy and the
flexibility it provides. I can see right away that I don't like Asana's
approach, where you have a subtasks *inside* a task, without further split
possible.
How it works
Hi,

I would be very interested to hear your other tips for "task naming
psychology" & other areas :)

Hi,
just out of interest, could you clarify this point? How it's much more
cumbersome?
I would say that selecting a word and clicking *B* at the top is the
off. But that would mean one more
setting in a already cramped settings window, and of course, some cost for
its implementation. I assume that the developers decided that it's not
worth it.

I have to agree here.
The preview/edit mode split is the most annoying thing for me. All the text
formatting gets not used, because I don't use the Preview mode.
I wonder what are the reasons for this decision.
It seems to me, that the simple rich text formatting implementation (like

Hi,
But there definitely could be cases where this is the required behaviour.
So it is set up so that the user can decide himself on project status.
I find it reasonable.

I think it's always cost & benefits analysis. If it's possible to replicate
a specific piece of functionality using current functions, then perhaps
it's not worth developing.
As every new feature will cost time & money to developers.
On Friday, April 6, 2018 at 8:28:55 AM UTC+3,
I agree here.
That's the reason why my use of Importance/Urgency is very limited in MLO -
it's too complicated to change it quickly.
