Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Can shift gears, but it's got no go! Help please!

2018-07-25 Thread James O'Gorman
Does the shifter lever feel like it is actually engaging the transmission, or
does it feel like it is disconnected? Can you see anything bent or broken in
the linkage between the shifter and transmission?

Squeeze the clutch lever and does it feel like normal?

You can also try putting the bike in gear (engine off) and try to rotate the
tire and see if it moves or not (bike on center stand if you have it).

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Stuck bolt

2016-09-22 Thread James O'Gorman
Good idea to try and tighten the bolt just to break it free. The clamping force
of the bolt isn't why this one is stuck - it is the corrosion between the
threads. That is why heat works - it expands the bolt / threads just enough to
overcome the corrosion.

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Stuck bolt

2016-09-21 Thread James O'Gorman
Soak it with PB blaster and use Impact if available. I agree with a new
socket as well - old worn sockets = rounded bolt heads. Using Mapp gas
would be the additional step. It burns hotter than Propane. You'll find the
little yellow bottles in the hardware store next to the little blue propane
bottles. Hit it with one or two torches of MAPP gas for a while after a
good soaking of PB blaster and you should be able to get it off. If the
bolt head breaks, you can usually weld a nut over the broken-off stud.
Avoid using any extensions if possible.

I wouldn't suggest the bottle jack method (although it does sound very
good). This would actually result in a lot of broken tools. This is because
it puts a lot of side-ways stress on all the components instead of axial
(twisting) force on the bolt threads themselves. If you have used a 4-way
tire iron, think about how using handles on both sides of the bolt versus
just on one side like with a ratchet. If you've ever tapped a thread, the
concept is the same. Tap handles are always "T" handles so that the tap
doesn't break off. 100% of the force goes to the threads instead of the
components like the handle, ratchet, socket, extension, ets.

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Help on repair cost

2016-09-16 Thread James O'Gorman
The best bet is to get a parts bike and have a shop do the engine swap if you
aren't able to do it. I don't know if parts like main bearings are easy to get
for that year/model. For my 83 when the engine spun a main bearing I ended up
selling it since it wasn't very easy to find everything and you weren't
guaranteed success.

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Weight of the centerstand?

I would guess it is about 3-4 lbs for the assembly. So maybe ~.5% of total bike
weight. Knowing that it is VERY useful but only a small percent of times, you
could pull it to save weight and bolt it up for oil changes and service.

We have an Elite 100!! Awesome!
We actually love it - two full-face helmets under the seat - liquid cooled
- fuel injection... only made in the US for one year (2010).

We have about 1100 miles on it so far - bought it new in 2011.

Do you have a service manual? I seem to have lost ours and cant find them

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] compression on cb450sc Nighthawk

2016-05-30 Thread James O'Gorman
I think the exact number isn't as important as "even". If you have a burnt/bent
valve or broken compression ring, then one cylinder will be noticeable lower
than the other cylinder(s). I think they say "within 10%" is the goal for all
cylinders.
Aside - not sure the math works like that. The compression is from BDC to TDC.
There is extra volume above the top of the cylinder and the valves may or may
not be completely closed when the cylinder starts back towards the top.
14.7 is STP for sea level. The dynamic compression is relative to ambient temp
and pressure (the air outside the bike). Static compression is the 9:1 ratio.
You have a naturally aspirated bike which means no turbo/super charger. This
means that your volumetric efficiency (VE) is most likely < 100 (meaning you
don't actually take in exactly 450 cc - more like 350-400. I think that only
nascar can get over 100% VE meaning their engine would pump more than total
displacement - maybe like 460 in this example.

Feel the pipes right after starting. You can tell which cylinders are firing.
Maybe a primary jet is blocked still.

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Help!

You may have a bad ground on the headlight which is why both high and low went
at the same time.
With the fuses - were they pulled while the power was on? They could have
popped when you pushed the fuse back in.
If you are umm... Confident... That there are no shorts, then you can jump the
fuse until you get home. Not recommend of course. It is impossible to know for
sure without using a meter.

And the no- start. If your ignition still has power, you can always pop the
clutch just like in a car. It can get hairy, but if you are in a pinch... Don't
drop the bike when your doing it. Straddle the seat and get it rolling
downhill. Then pick you feet up, put in first gear and release the clutch. This
will spin the engine. Then pull the clutch back in just like when you release
the start button. Then you can proceed as normal.

The salt flats are west of Salt Lake City, right on the border of Utah/Nevada.
It is only a couple hours out of SLC. If you've never been there I would
recommend it. There were some smaller roads the go north from there to connect
back (eventually) to Ontario, OR.
Those roads are quite desolate but very neat. Anyone is able to just drive out
on the salt and putz around.

Unfortunately Ol' Yeller's headlight went on strike again tonight as I was

a headlight on the trip, if only for getting back to the motel after dinner.
It's sure to come on intermittently during the trip; maybe I'll just rig a

could trust for a trip like this short of a new bike, or at least it feels
like it to me, Dang! Headlight issue is creating a love/hate relationship

[Nighthawk Lovers] Fix/replace/ or sell?

2015-05-11 Thread James O'Gorman
I have an 83 650 that I got from the wife's uncle (who got at a Detroit
police auction). I fixed it up and got about 1.5 seasons but then it
developed what I think is a rod knock.

It also has the usual cam chain noise, plus a noisy 5th gear (hums) and a
split oil passage where the oil pipe feeds into the head. I've tried fixing
the latter but with no luck.

Given these issues...

...the question is - should I fix it or sell it?

I don't see any decent engines for the 83-85 on eBay - just this one which
may be sketchy:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1983-1985-HONDA-CB650SC-NIGHTHAWK-COMPLETE-ENGINE-MOTOR-CB-650-SC-/251920005535?hash=item3aa79a399fvxp=mtr

I'm outside Milwaukee, WI.

I've rebuild car engines before; top and bottom end, but not motorcycle. I
should already have most the tools needed - ring spring compressors,
torque wrenches, etc.
I think at this point I would rather get a replacement engine/trans or a
parts bike rather than rebuild this one.

Thoughts?

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Replacement turn sigs, and ignition.

2015-04-27 Thread James O'Gorman
I got my four replacement stand-offs from Bike Bandit. They are good quality.

 Turn sig stand-offs
My front turn signal rubbers are kinda cracked. Where did we decide is the
 best supplier for replacements?
The sockets and lenses or ok, though one is newer than the other.
I already replaced the back ones; they take more of a beating.

 Ignition swt
Earlier I mentioned having some ignition switch problems, and I might need to
get this or that from Ebay. It worked, but was flaky and seemed to get a good
contact only after a wiggle of the key.
I took it apart again, this time with lots of time and the luxury of having
done it before. The last time I did it I was starting a trip and had to get
it working ASAP. The result this time was incredible success.
The little white plastic part, that holds the contacts and rotates with the
turn of the key, had melted very slightly. At some point the contact got too
hot. The plastic was not so deformed that it would not work, as I thought.
The problem was that when the contact got hot it melted a tiny protrusion
under the spring-loaded contact. This was making the spring-loaded contact
sit crooked when under the normal pressure of re-assembly. When I scraped off
the very small excess plastic it seated properly and made reliable
connection. I was also happy to see that there had been no more overheating
or contact pitting since I cleaned and lubricated everything.

So there, you can service an ignition switch on an '83 550/650 if it is not
too badly deformed. Just don't trash the end cap when you take it off.
Remember to pry it off when the key is in the ON position. If you do screw up
the little plastic detents that hold the cap on, you may need to fabricate a
strap to go from one mounting screw, over the cap and to the other mounting
screw, like I did, to hold it all together.

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: What are his options?

2015-03-30 Thread James O'Gorman
When I got my bike, it never came with any keys. It was from a police auction.
All I had to do was take out the lock cylinder and bring it to the local Honda
Authorized Dealership and they were able to cut a new key. There is a code
stamped on the cylinder and they look it up in a book. Then they use a special
took to cut the key. The tool was more like a hand held punch press than any
other key copier that i've seen.

The bike is an 83 CB650SC Nighthawk.

The place was called Power Motorsports at the time. This was about 7 years
ago. Now it seems to be listed under this name:
http://www.davidallenracingmotorsports.com/

That is likely an easier option that drive the bike in circles all the way to
the dealership :)

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Spring Oil Change made a little more challenging

2015-03-30 Thread James O'Gorman
Yup, I've done this a few times. The worst [most embarrassing] was two years
ago. I just took the bike out of storage and got it all fired up. I took it to
work on Monday. I got out of work and walked up to the bike only to realize
that not only A) the Key was left in the bike ALL DAY but also B) it was left
in Accessory ALL DAY. I think I was too excited about having it out again and I
forgot what I was doing... :(

So I had to get a jump. I let it warm up for a bit at high enough RPMs so that
it was charging, then started home. I made it a few blocks, but it died when
shifting to Neutral at a stop when I wasn't fast enough to hit N and then get
back on the throttle. :( It wouldn't start from popping the clutch since it was
still too dead, so I needed a SECOND jump start :(

... and another time, with another bike... and car... I almost had a double
whammy...

My wife and I have a NHX110 aka Honda Elite 110 scooter. I was sent to
California for what was supposed to be 6 months on assignment for work. It
ended up being 1 year. The Scooter was left in the garage back in Wisconsin. I
had my car in California with me. It had the Optima Yellow Top AGM battery. I
didn't end up driving my car for about 1-2 months before I left, so I needed to
jump it and drive it around for a day or two before leaving to drive back to
Wisconsin. Somewhere about Utah, I noticed a strange sulfur smell, but didn't
think too much of it. Five days later, I rolled into the parking lot at my
apartment. After walking around the apartment for a few minutes, I went to
re-park my car. The battery was shot. I somehow managed a 2,000 mile trip only
to have the battery die right after delivering me home. *Phew* BUT I was still
stranded by myself without a car (wife was still out of town); and I didn't
have a charger.
Luckily, I had the Scooter in the garage. I went over to the scooter, but was
saddened by the fact that the key was in the ignition, and it was set to Seat
which is how to pop open the storage under the seat. It had sat for an entire
year off the charger like this... I crossed my fingers, twisted the key over to
Start and pressed the Crank button. It fired to life! Wahoo!!

So then I was able to go and purchase a charger. I let it charge overnight, but
the battery was still dead. So I scooted off and got a new battery.

Moral of this story - if you have a Yellow top or other similar battery, don't
charge them too quickly. Charge them the way the manual states - slow and
steady. Otherwise they will go bad and waste your $160 investment.

Oh fun!

That is ptetty cool. I don't think that 14°F would work up here in
Wisconsin, though...

I've slowly been piecing a system together myself. There is a great program
called WebcamXP that does motion detection based on webcams or IP cameras,
and can trigger events such as text messages, emails, and other things.

Right now I'm using an arduino and a bunch of sensors to keep track of
things around my house. Currently I have sensors on all the exterior doors,
a flood sensor in the basement, and a level sensor in the sump pump. It can
text me when anything is out of ordinary. There is also a temp/humidity
sensor that sits outside. The sump and temp/humidity are graphed, and the
door status is shown below in the UI I put together.

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Getting a noise when accelerating

2014-05-05 Thread James O'Gorman
It might be the cam chain. I'm not sure of a way to measure stretch on that
chain while it is installed - you need to disassemble the engine to remove the
chain, then measure it.

 On May 5, 2014, at 11:06, Gpro prostg...@gmail.com wrote:

I thought the chain might have picked something up at first, so I watched
the chain as the rear wheel rotated slowly, but saw nothing there. A friend
suggested that it might be a binding speedo cable. It doesn't seem to be
coming from there, but that should give a good idea as to the frequency of
the ticking. It's definitely too slow to be the crank or rods, and
especially the valve train. Is there anything in the transmission that could
be turning that slowly? My next move is to pull the drive sprocket cover to
see if anything is in there.

About a week ago I got a call from a guy who asked if I was interested in a
1978 CB750k. He said it hadn't run in 30 years. Still I wanted to see it.
It was in a big garage, covered in dust, flat original tires with only 5800
miles on the odometer. He said it had belonged to his brother who bought it
new, stopped riding it in 1983 and had died in 1996. It now belonged to his
widow who just wanted to get rid of it. So I loaded it up and brought it
home. The fuel tank was so rusted inside that the rust was up to the filler
hole and when I turned it upside down, a day later tar like stuff had
started oozing out. At first I thought the engine had seized but after
bouncing up and down on the kick start a few times the bike turned over.
The carbs are totaled. The same tar like fuel has eaten through some of the
aluminum. I'm doing the best to salvage what I can however. They are
 soaking in carb cleaner.
The rest of the bike, once I started in with steel wool and chrome polish is
coming up really nice. The engine aluminum paint is like new. The seat is
like new, even the rims have come up like new. Sorry no before pics and it
will be a little while before I will have the bike in picture ready shape. I
am in the hunt for carbs, tank and side cover emblems. The original owner
removed the badges and painted the bike metallic gray. I will try and get it
back as much to original as possible, specially if it runs well, Graham

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Wahoo! My first bike, a 1985 650sc.

2013-08-13 Thread James O'Gorman
Nice work!

I always thought the parking lot stuff was the hardest; riding on the roads at
55 mph was really a no-brainer.
I did all the same stuff as well, practicing in an empty parking lot by my
apartment. One thing I worked on that sounds similar to you was carefully
finding the braking threshold for the front and rears - I would ride to like 10
mph in a straight line, and see how hard I had to squeeze /just/ the front or
/just/ the rear before it would lockup. Basically I found out that the front
for my 83 650 I can squeeze the front as hard as i need to, but the rear will
lock up pretty easily (which isn't very good).

Doing each one individually helped me to understand how to balance the brakes
throughout a braking cycle.

I would also do the parking lot stuff for a bit, then run around a few city
streets and come back. Your brain needs time to rest and think about it.

So I just watched both videos - the dash cam from that officer and the
biker's helmet cam. While I don't agree with how the officer handled the
situation, it was pretty nuts with everything else that was going on. When
he stopped the pickup with a bike a four girls in the bed, one of the girls
hands off a 'package' to one passing biker, then another passing biker lets
her hop on the back. Some of the other bikers were holding up the officer
on the highway, pulling in front of him and hitting the brakes; slowing
almost to a stop while their biker friends do wheelies so bad juju all
around. Bad bikers, bad cops.

I can understand why the cop wanted the footage (his dashcam quality was
crap); I don't think he can just sieze it like that (1984 anyone?). Some of
the bikers deserve to lose their licenses, and that cop needs to learn to
deal with the stresses of the job before he cripples someone permanently.

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] changing brake fluid?

2012-08-24 Thread James O'Gorman
Yes, recommended on pretty much all vehicles every year or every other
year.

Brake fluid absorbs moisture as part of 'what it does' so that it doesn't
condense and sit in your lines. After a while, it will reach its saturation
point, and along the way, its boiling point decreases. the actual temps may
very, but it starts around something like 400+ degrees, and when it is old,
it will be in the low 200s before it boils.

230F isn't that hot for brakes, so it wouldn't take much to boil with some
'spirited' driving.

[Nighthawk Lovers] My wife's Motorcycle safety class

2012-08-10 Thread James O'Gorman
My wife is taking a Motorcycle safety class this week at a Harley
dealership near Milwaukee. It was funny when she came home after the first
night – she was complaining about how they spent 3 hours talking about the
safety gear.

About an hour later, she tells me that she wants to buy a full-face helmet
to replace the 3/4 one that she has now :)

She was also saying how the first night, they took a tour of the dealership
with a sales guy, and the second night a lady came in to talk to the class
about the products and services they offer there. One thing that is kinda
cool is that they are supposed to get some sort of gift certificate at the
end of the last class on Monday. We just might be able to find something
without an HD logo on it for a reasonable price. She’s looking for riding
glove right now...

Hi my name is Matt. I'm new to the group and I recently got my first bike, a
1992 CB750 with 3,800 miles for $1,800. It was always garage kept and in
 very good condition.

I had had the bike for only about 2 months but had put almost 2,000 miles on
it already. At the time I was getting home from work in the dark and the
cold and kept putting off my first bike maintenance until a weekend when I
could do some work in the daylight. I made a big rookie mistake and ran my
bike dry and the engine locked up when I stopped at a traffic light. The low
oil indicator light had turned on that morning but I was hurrying to a
meeting and thought I would be able to make it before things got serious.

I got my bike back to my house, and a few weeks later poured some oil over
the top of the engine, manually turned the engine, and then was able to get
it to start with no problem. However, the engine didn't seem to respond
right. So I looked into the top more and found some pretty serious scouring
on the exhaust camshafts, exhaust camshaft holders, and crankcase. It also
looks like some of the rubber stuff on the defoaming chamber covers melted,
but I'm not sure. The rest of the top end looked completely fine, even the
intake camshaft. See pictures for details but be warned, they are
 depressing.

I am worried that pieces of metal may have gotten into the bottom of the
engine and wrecked more havoc. I'm also wondering if there may be more
damage than I've seen from when my engine locked up. Does anyone know what
damage is typical when you run your engine dry? Is it likely the entire
engine will need to be replaced?

I have searched past messages but have not found much. Possibly because I
don't know what is best to search for. I've done a lot of other reading so
far and have some ideas but wanted to run it by the group first.

To me it looks like I have a few options:

 1) Sell the bike as is on CL for parts to someone who knows what they are
 doing
 2) Purchase replacement parts for the damaged components and replace them.
With a quick search I have found these on ebay: cylinder head, another
cylinder head, camshafts. I don't have much experience working with engines
but I do have a Clymer manual. The camshafts and holders look easy to
replace but the body of the crankcase is also damaged where the camshafts
sit. Would it be possible to have a shop re-machine

[Nighthawk Lovers] $30 Carb Sync tool

2012-07-27 Thread James O'Gorman
There is often talk about carb syncing on the forum.

I synched my carbs last week on my 83 650 using a UniSyn tool that I borrowed
from a friend. It was REALLY easy. Really. This should not be a job that anyone
is afraid of like I used to be.

I was using a tool like the following:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9ATBDVJ0044339nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwordscm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-NA-_-NA

For $30, I think I'm going to pick one up even though I don't really need one
anymore.

Its not set of Vacuum gauges like I was expecting, but the old-timer that let
me borrow it told me he used to sync old Porches and Lamborghini's with it (and
yes, he really did work on that type of car back in the day).

When you reassemble the bank of carbs, just do a baseline sync by looking
through the carbs and adjusting the butterflies so you can see equal amounts of
light under each one. Then get the bike back together and use the sync tool.

On the downside, to use this you have to remove the boots on the intake of the
carbs. This is more work than just plugging into the vacuum ports on the boots,
but it does the trick.

it running and I was there with him. Now with the carbs back on it runs on
1 and 4 but #'s 2 3 are just flooding. The gas is going straight out the
mufflers. Seems to have good spark on all 4. The carbs were relatively
clean before I cleaned them. Compression is excellent. Bike has only done
11k miles. I have the tank off and am running it through a funnel and hose
so it can't be the pet cock. Any suggestions? Graham

slower speeds and coming to a stop. It seems kind of backwards that a heavier
 bike would be easier.

Any ideas of why this is? I kind of suspect its due to a much better
suspension on the Buell. Maybe weight distribution? Rake/trail? Wider bars?
Just wondering if there's something I can do to the NH to make it more like
 the Buell in that respect.

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Engine Squeak - Leaking Head Gasket?

2012-07-11 Thread James O'Gorman
I just read the other posts.
Hopefully you can check the Tach cable, but to me it almost sounds like you've
got a vacuum leak whistling. It sounds like one of the carb-to-head boots is
missing the plug screw and is whistling.
Just throwing that idea into the mix.

I'm running Rotella T but I am due for an oil change. I'll drain and strain
the oil and see whether anything comes up.

I picked up a compression tester yesterday too but I think I need to try it
again tonight because my first result on the right cylinder was 110 psi and
120 on the left, but then I retested the right and got up to 150, but didn't
retest the left again, so I think I'm a newb on compression testing and need
to try it again for better results. Anybody have tips for me on compression
 testing?

What kind of oil are you using?

Try draining the oil and refilling with Rotella T (the plain stuff,
not the synthetic T5 or T6) and a new filter. Retain the old oil,
dilute some of it with gas and strain it thru a coffee filter, looking
for minute shavings of metal or clutch plate material.

If metal, there's an internal engine problem. If clutch plate
coating, it's clutch related and a Rotella refill may take care of it
 with no further action required.

squeaking sound coming from the motor. When I started it back up this
weekend it started squeaking immediately (cold engine) and it increases
with the RPMs. On my car I would say it sounds like an accessory belt
squeaking, it's that kind of sound, but it's coming from inside the motor.
I also opened the filler/dipstick with the motor running and air and oil
came sputtering out at me, but I'm not sure that's not normal for a running
engine like this. I pulled the valve cover and adjusted the valves but
they weren't very far out of adjustment, so I don't think that was it. I
checked the torque on my head bolts, and they are all to spec, but I
noticed that the resistance in one of the bolts is all resistance in the
thread and not pressure from the bolt on the head. I'm wondering if
there's not enough pressure on the head and that's the source of my
leakage. Anybody have any thoughts or suggestions?

Here's my take:

 - I love watching stunt riding. A good stunter is someone who has mastered the
machine - throttle control, threshold breaking, fast reflexes, etc. All the
skills necessary of a race driver.

 - These guys still suck at riding
 - Every one of these guys deserved to crash, and only some had proper gear.
(aka morons)

ALSO - I really liked the /attempted/ stunt of the guy trying a full handstand
on the handlebars. I've never seen that before, and it would be amazing to see
this pulled off.

 - it made me laugh :)

I've got a handheld impact driver kit similar to this:

that I used successfully to back out the bolts on my carbs without damaging any
of them. They looked just like yours (aka hopeless).
Mine has an adapter that allows me to put in different bits, and when I'm
really screwed, I use the impact driver with an EZ-out, with great success.
http://www.amazon.com/Eazypower-82681-Damaged-Screw-Removers/dp/B000HE9VZY/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8qid=1328380258sr=8-9

Because I can be cheap and lazy sometimes, that combo is now the correct size
for the two long bolts that hold my starter together. Both the bolts are
stripped out, and look even worse than the one in your pic below, but a few
good taps and the screws back right out. I reverse the impact driver to
reinstall the bolts.

work on mine, though.
Good work!

Nighthawk lover. If you have the time take a peek and let me know what you

The problem with a bike is all the extra stuff that gets turned on with the
key. Thinking of my 450, the starter lug is exposed. You *Could* ground to
frame and then touch the hot cable to the starter lug directly. It would make
some cool sparks but it should start and get your but home.

I would be interested to see the numbers once you have 8 tanks of premium.
Could you post them when you have them?

I've got the last 30,000 miles logged for my car and the biggest difference
was driving style, not octane.

I haven't jumped a bike with 24v (yet), but I did jump a car that way. I just
unhooked the feed wire from the starter then clamped directly to the stud and
the engine ground strap, then used the car's 12v to trigger the solenoid as
normal. Only had a 24v system to jump from, no roll starting ability (stupid
automatics), and I had an adjustable wrench. Took me all of five minutes, no
starter damage, and that was that.

Just saying if all you have available to jump from is 24v, it isn't the end
of the world. I may at some point have to do it, I too work for a bus company
and all we have are 24v jump boxes.

How could you ONLY give the starter 24 volts? You would have to jumper it
separately from the rest of the wiring harness. I can't see why anyone would
want to do that anyway. If your starter is so shot that a 12V system can't
spin it then you just need to rebuild the thing. Or get proficient at push
 starting.

I'm pretty sure that it's illegal to give you money for that... but if we just

Have added another pdf SHOP MANUAL to my share site.

Purchased a used 1983 Nighthawk CB650SC Honda Shop Manual (Factory
Manual). Given the consistency of the 650 from 1983 to 1985, may be
used for those years too, and likely would be generally acccurate on
 the 1983 550.

Has been scanned and uploaded in a screen view resolution. 308 full
size page scan job made for a file too large to post at printing
resolution. Got it down to 19Mb for online viewing.

Too quiet on the forum today, so I'll *bump* this thread to the top.
I'd have to assume that Seasonal Affective Disorder has taken over all the
bikers... :(

Anyone get snowed on today?
Here in the Central Valley of California it only snows once every ten years.
