Ok, heres what I have on my 700S. There are two hoses going into the
cannister. One from the valve cover and the other from the top of the
crankcase. A third hose goes from the cannister to the airbox. Pretty
simple.
By the way have you checked the air filter? If it is real dirty or oiled
up it
ok

Kiwi does that change anything you stated before about the hoses being run to
and from the charcoal canister from everything I can tell it seems to be a
California model but I can't see any designation of that nor can I find the Pcv
valve I have the Haynes manual and it says the two hoses
The color of the plugs will tell you alot. 16k miles is not much. If you
can give the bike a compression test that would be good.
The loop, for sake of a better word is just a metal ring through which the
hose from the air box and the clear battery breather tube are channeled to
the bottom outside
I had a vaguely similar problem and it turned out to be some vent openings in
the top of the carb bowls. If you take apart to clean, check those, to. Plugs
sound quite possible and cheap and easy.

The bike has 16k miles on it. I had the carbs complete apart and cleaned
them up so I'm thinking it might be like you said the fuel levels are off
because of how much jb weld I had to put in there to stop the leak. I will
start by taking the hoses off and cleaning them etc. What do you mean
Easier to work with you but you're too far away. So a few questions.
How many miles on the bike?
Are the spark plugs sooted up, black, grey, white or what? Check them
The carbs need taken apart and cleaned at least. As with the hoses. One
from the cannister goes to the valve cover. The two

Hello guys hope someone on here can help me. I bought a 1985 honda cb650sc
for 300 dollars last year that had been sitting on someone's lawn for three
years. Bike started no problem when i got it home but leaked fuel
profusely out of the bottom of the carb bowls. I took the bowls apart and
