It's called merging because MoneyWell merges the manually entered info
with the bank info.
MoneyWell will have a manual merge in a future release. For now it
doesn't handle multiple same amounts well.

Alphabetically and MoneyWell will sort them and then
resequence them so they stay in that order.
You can still drag buckets around after this to change the sequence
but this is a quick way to get them back in alphabetical order first.

money out of both income buckets. Remember that if your first income
bucket has enough to fill the expense buckets, there's no reason for

any point without losing transaction history, just make sure you prime
it with your available cash on that date.

simply make it a cash only transaction and that
money is transferred to the cash account. As you spend money in that
cash account, you assign buckets to each of those transactions.

Yes, user-defined smart buckets are coming in the 2.0 release. That
will be later in 2009 because we are working on an iPhone version,
MoneyWell Mobile, to sync with MoneyWell for your desktop first.
