morning at the flats in front of the Overlook parking area just east of
Pikes Beach. There were also several dozen Ruddy Turnstones, Shortbilled

of Yellowlegs. Also found were Forster's and Black Tern and a Clapper Rail.
The Semipalmated Sandpipers were really scarce today. Guess their all down

Ruddy Turnstones spotted by Aaron Virgin. Lots of Northern
Gannets about. Eleven Blackbellied Plover landed on the beach to the
west just as I was leaving. The island on Ponqugue Bridge's far side had

Meadowlark there. Along the tree line at the northern boundary of
that Hulse Landing field were over a dozen White Crowned Sparrow. There
were 6 Redtailed Hawk, 2 Harrier and an American Kestral at large. Good

Hi, Birding the East Hampton area today we happened upon 8 Ruddy
Turnstones amongst a flock of Sanderling and Dunlin at Accabonac Harbor,
Springs. Hook Pond held few birds due to its being mostly iced over.

Hello Everyone, My cousin Deb Robertaccio of Hampton Bays has phoned
to tell of seeing her first Osprey yesterday at 4:45 pm. She was crossing
the overpass of the Peconic River just south of Indian Island Golf Course
