Further info: I remember checking the following yesterday as in the
installation instructions

srfsh% login admin-user admin-pass
This worked then - that is, I saw the expected output, Received data etc.
I've just retried it and, frustratingly, it failed - I got the srfsh
I tried Joe's suggestion but am afraid it didn't help. My OpenSRF
installation seems to have somehow broken since yesterday. Then I
could successfully carry out the test request opensrf.math add 2 2,
but now both a logon attempt and this test give Received no data from
server...

Yes - you're on the right track. In previous Evergreen releases, the admin
username was hard-coded to admin and the password was hard-coded to
open-ils. This allows you to pick it.
