Look how much you are saving using Silver support. The tell you the 800 # to call for
support 24 / 7. You never had that with Bronze support.. You had to pay the phone
company to place the call and then you couldn't get any price break for calling in the
evening because the Bronze support was

for posts that are large, esoteric and wonderfully funny
I really don't think that is the issue. I believe my management has more
then enough confidence in me. However, they have very little confidence
in Oracle support. She was going from past experience. Right now we are
having an Oracle issue that Oracle is trying to push off to us.
We still have Bronze support which you can no longer get but we would not
even consider upgrading to
Gold because their phone support is not very good at all. There are too many
resources available where
you can actually get a correct answer much sooner.

Upgrades have been split off.
Of course now Metalink has to also be renamed (Oracle Ink9i, or
OInk9i?) since there is no more Metal, right. :)
