I bought a Tokina 28-80 f/2.8 ATX Pro and its 80-200 counterpart via BH.
The 80-200 had problems with its AF on my PZ1ps. I sent it back to the US
distributor, who couldn't get it to fail on any other AF camera body, but
needed to bring in a Z1p to test it on. I needed the lens back for a job

No, I don't think it's sharper, but it's probably as sharp. But
sharpness is just one parameter by which to judge a lens. The lens's
other qualities (build, bokeh, handling) might make it worth the price
for you. Be warned also that the 43 has a little barrel distortion.

It doesn't take in the entire scene. It requires you, as the photographer,

varying my position and setting, i like to try and explore the subject as
best I can. I think this has improved my amount of keepers and my
understanding
I never thought about multiple shots of the same scene until I attended a
workshop years ago. The pro pointed out that if you only take one shot of a
scene then that automatically becomes your best shot of that scene. I then
started shooting more of a given scene with variations in composition,
I should have proof read that before i sent it. Here it is again in a form
that makes sense :)

Pentax should knock together a quick thousand dollar
digital in K-mount, something with features similar to
other current mid-range 3.3 or 4 megapixel cameras. A
K-mount digital would make Pentax a major player again
overnight.
