surprisingly good IMO. Yes, the edges are a
bit soft wide open, but Miyazaki-san sure gets the most out of 6 optical
surfaces, and the lens is about as tiny as it can be.

lenses but the Hektor 135 is probably worth $100-150. If pressed I'd guess
that the two wides are worth a bit more than that.
If you don't use FleaBay I'd suggest listing them at RangefinderForum.com and

IMO. I like the 15 when it's stopped down a
bit and it's the lightest of the bunch. The 14 shows complex moustache
distortion which is difficult to correct and could be a problem with landscapes.

the lens in the freezer for
a few minutes. The temperature change can break the bond of the filter thread
to the lens thread. You have to unscrew it quickly before it warms up, though.

Enjoy your new K-5 - it's the nicest camera Pentax has made yet. Ergonomics
are somewhat personal. but IMO the K-5/K-7 have the best ergos of any camera

scratched the new screen I was trying to install when I applied too much force
trying to re-latch the frame. Stupid on several levels...

Mark (and Jostein), things HAVE changed in the MacBook Pro lineup.
All of the current offerings use an IPS screen with LED
backlighting. I got a 15 incher at Chrstmas as a present for myself,
and it's gorgeous! You can get either a glossy
hiccups after returning to the indoors.
Oh, and the Metz performed impeccably too.
A great example of K-7/DA* weatherproofing. You ought to send it to
Pentax as a candidate for an advertisement.

my take on dealing with this problem too. But how do we make
sure that those in charge of tourism are aware
that we are boycotting London because of harassment of photographers?
Do we need to orchestrate a public boycott, with media fanfare and all?

was not great - several batteries
failed over the years.
I no longer use my *ist-D regularly so I've changed to the non-
rechargeable CR-V3 batteries, which seem to have a very long shelf life.
