ran some tests this weekend involving the lenses I own covering 100mm
F.L. and found out this lens seems to be much shorter than 105mm at the
long end. I have a TIPA test covering all the 28-105 available a couple

Having been caught out a few times recently, I planned ahead
yesterday. I was travelling north along the major route through
the UK and I knew that the British Motorcycle GP was on.
Having the loan of Dennis K's MS-s and 28-70 2.8 (of which more
in a later post) I was prepared for taking

I had trouble with the H3 as it came frozen up. The shutter button was depressed

Zooms rarely match their advertised ranges, but are usually close.
Manufacturers stamp on a zoom range that is the standard (such as
28-105), although this is rarely accurate. The FA Power Zoom 28-105

I really think this issue is vastly overblown. My own semi-scientific observations
have led me to believe that the majority of the noise and vibration of a properly
adjusted SP happen on mirror return, not mirror up. It doesn't matter how much noise
or vibration (other than aesthetically)

vibrations from the up and down movement into two steps. I did a test with

Choice of lens can very much depend on type of animal and photo options. I
could not tell from your post if you have direct experience with
photographing live, wild, or recently caught reptiles. If you have such
experience, please forgive my trying to tell you something you already know.
